The Portable Telecom Base station is a joint R&D achievement unveiled at MWC 2025 Shanghai. It combines a high‑capacity telescopic mast, autonomous hydraulic power plant, on‑site command shelter, emergency supply depot, and UAV landing pad into a single road‑transportable unit. Designed for rapid deployment in disaster‑stricken areas, it restores cellular coverage, trunked radio, and broadband backhaul within minutes, independent of public utilities.

4. Emergency Supply Storage

  1. Dedicated compartment for storing rescue gear: inflatable boats, submersible pumps, sandbags, first‑aid kits, etc., enabling integrated “personnel‑vehicle‑material” coordination.

5. Environmental & Site Monitoring (FSU – Field Supervision Unit)

  1. · Real‑time monitoring of: power voltage/current, battery status, enclosure temperature/humidity, smoke detection, door contact, and mast tilt.

  2. · Remote alarm and status reporting via 4G/5G or satellite backhaul to NOC (Network Operations Centre).

6. UAV Landing & Charging Pad

  1. · Dimensions: 2.2 m (L) × 1.2 m (W).

7. Public Service & Information Dissemination

  1. · USB‑C and AC outlets for charging mobile phones, laptops, and portable radios – essential for evacuees and field crews.

  2. · External LCD publicity screen (weatherproof) for broadcasting emergency alerts, public service announcements, or community information.

8. Payload Expansion Ports on Mast

  • Standard mounting interfaces (pipe clamps, flanges) for additional equipment:

    • · Microwave or satellite backhaul antennas

    • · Weather sensors (anemometer, hygrometer, rain gauge)

    • · PTZ surveillance cameras with IR illumination

    • · High‑intensity LED floodlights for nighttime operations

Core Advantages for Telecom & Emergency Use

  1. · Rapid site acquisition: Compact stowed size enables transport on standard flatbed trucks; no crane or concrete foundation required.

  2. · Sub‑minute deployment: Fully automated hydraulic lift – from stowed to 30 m operational height in less than 120 seconds.

  3. · Island‑mode operation: Complete self‑containment (power, shelter, backhaul, monitoring) eliminates dependency on grid or fixed infrastructure.

  4. · Multi‑RAT compatibility: Supports 2G/3G/4G/5G NR, TETRA, PMR, and Wi‑Fi – can be integrated with any baseband vendor’s RRU/BBU.

  5. · Resilient backhaul options: Built‑in ports for fibre, microwave, or satellite (BGAN/VSAT) – ensures connectivity even when terrestrial links are severed.

  6. · UAV synergy: Drone pad + charging extends operational reach, enabling aerial asset inspection and beyond‑line‑of‑sight relay.

  7. · Extreme environment readiness: Guy‑line stabilisation, wide temperature range (-25°C to +55°C), and redundant power assure reliable performance in typhoons, floods, and high‑altitude regions.

Typical Application Scenarios

  1. · Natural disaster response: Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and forest fires – rapid restoration of public cellular and emergency services networks.

  2. · Major event coverage: Sports tournaments, political summits, concerts – temporary capacity boost and dedicated security comms.

  3. · Remote infrastructure projects: Oil/gas exploration, hydroelectric construction, mining – where fixed towers are impractical.

  4. · Public safety & border patrol: Mobile command node for police, fire, and civil defence forces.

  5. · 5G coverage on demand: Temporary fill‑in for coverage holes or during network upgrade periods.
